Charter a Private Plane for Relocation Flights to and from Boca Raton, Florida
Boca Jet Charter arranges relocation flights into and out of Boca Raton for families and individuals moving to a new home. It is one of the more common reasons people here charter, because people are constantly moving throughout the year. Either north or south along this coast of Florida, or Northerners moving down to the coast.
A move is a logistics problem for weeks and a travel problem for one day. Most of what you own goes by road or by freight. What comes on the aircraft is the part you are not willing to put in a truck: the animals, the documents, the things that cannot be replaced, and the people.
Relocating with pets
This is the reason most families charter the move rather than fly commercially. On a private aircraft the animal travels in the cabin with you, not in a hold, and there is no terminal and no separation at either end. For an older animal, a nervous one, or a breed many carriers will not accept, that changes the day completely.
Not every aircraft or operator accepts animals in the cabin, so tell us at the quote stage what is coming and roughly what it weighs. Depending on the animal, the distance and the length of the trip there may be requirements around crating. Our pet charter page covers this in more detail.
How much you can bring
More than on a scheduled flight, and less than a truck. Cabin and baggage compartment dimensions vary a lot between aircraft, and on a relocation the payload is usually what decides the aircraft rather than the seat count. Give us the total weight and the dimensions of the largest single item and we will size the aircraft to it.
Where the bulk of your belongings moves separately, air cargo charter puts a full aircraft at your disposal for the shipment alone.
Moving abroad
An international move needs more lead time than a domestic one. Permits are generally applied for after a trip has been secured on the aircraft schedule, and sometimes the timeline is dictated by the local airport authorities. Pet documentation is set by the destination country and often has to be issued inside a set window before travel, so start on it early.
Coming into Boca Raton, customs runs Thursday through Monday, 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM, and clearing outside those hours has to be requested while the facility is open. Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International clears around the clock if your arrival will not fit at Boca Raton.
Booking it
Ask earlier than you would for an ordinary trip. Pets, paperwork and payload all take longer to sort out than a seat does, and moving dates tend to firm up late.
Vetting Behind Every Trip
Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:
- FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
- Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
- Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
- Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.
Boca Raton-Specific Patterns We Plan Around
Hurricane season runs June through November and peaks in September, and summer afternoons bring thunderstorms that build quickly and close airspace while they pass. Your advisor watches the forecast ahead of your date and will call you before you call us. Boca Raton Airport also asks operators to observe a voluntary curfew between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM, which does not block a departure but is worth raising early if your trip lands in that window.
