Turboprops do a great deal of the regional flying out of Boca Raton, because they operate comfortably from the shorter runways across Florida and the islands that jets cannot use.

When Turboprops Fit the Boca Raton Trip
This is the category for reaching the smaller Bahamian fields, the Keys, and the Florida airports that scheduled services do not reach. If you give us the destination rather than the nearest airline airport, we will work out which field gets you closest.
The runway required on the day is a performance calculation the operator makes for that aircraft, at that weight, in the conditions on your date, so we confirm it with them for your specific trip rather than working from a general figure.
Vetting Behind Every Trip
Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:
- FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
- Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
- Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
- Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.
Boca Raton Patterns We Plan Around
Two things shape a trip here more than the aircraft does. Hurricane season runs June through November, with the peak in September, and summer afternoons bring thunderstorms that build quickly and close airspace while they pass. Your advisor watches the forecast ahead of your date and will call you before you call us.
The other is customs. Boca Raton Airport clears Thursday through Monday, 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM, and clearing outside those hours has to be requested while the facility is open, so a midweek evening arrival from abroad needs setting up days ahead. Fort Lauderdale Executive (KFXE) clears from eight in the morning until just before midnight, and Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International (KFLL) clears around the clock.
Airport choice matters more here than in most markets. Boca Raton Airport (KBCT) is the default, with a tower open from seven in the morning until eleven at night and a voluntary curfew between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM. President Donald J. Trump International (KDJT) at West Palm Beach, formerly Palm Beach International, covers the north of the county; KFXE, KFLL and Miami-Opa Locka Executive (KOPF) cover the south. If you give us the address you are starting from rather than the city, we can get you closest to it.
