Boca Jet Charter arranges private flights to sporting events from Boca Raton and across South Florida, for fans, corporate groups, sponsors and hospitality parties.
South Florida hosts a lot of them. Professional football, basketball, baseball and hockey all play within an hour of Boca, the Miami Open brings the tennis calendar here, Formula 1 races in Miami, Gulfstream Park runs the winter thoroughbred meet in Hallandale Beach, and the equestrian season in Wellington fills southern Palm Beach County from January into spring.
Event weekends change the airports
A major event fills the ramp as well as the roads. When parking is tight, an airport and Air Traffic Control may require a slot, which is prior permission to arrive or depart in a specific window. If your trip needs one, your advisor handles the request as part of the booking.
This is the main reason to book an event trip early. The aircraft is usually available later than the ramp space is.
Getting to away games and international events
For events abroad, permits are generally applied for after a trip has been secured on the aircraft schedule, and sometimes the timeline is dictated by the local airport authorities. Operators must meet the equivalent safety standards of the country of operation.
Coming home, customs hours decide where you land. Boca Raton clears Thursday through Monday, 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM, and clearing outside those hours must be requested while the facility is open. Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International clears around the clock.
Group size
Charter is priced by the aircraft, so a hospitality group filling a cabin usually works out better per head than the same group booking separately. Above nineteen passengers the trip moves into regional airliner or airliner-size aircraft, which would operate under FAR Part 121 or foreign equivalent standards rather than FAR Part 135. Tell us the number early, because it decides which aircraft we are looking at.
Games run long, so leave room in the return.
Vetting Behind Every Trip
Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:
- FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
- Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
- Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
- Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.
Boca Raton-Specific Patterns We Plan Around
Hurricane season runs June through November and peaks in September, and summer afternoons bring thunderstorms that build quickly and close airspace while they pass. Your advisor watches the forecast ahead of your date and will call you before you call us. Boca Raton Airport also asks operators to observe a voluntary curfew between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM, which does not block a departure but is worth raising early if your trip lands in that window.
