Specialty In-Flight Catering

Boca Jet Charter arranges in-flight catering on private charter flights from Boca Raton and across South Florida. On a short hop it is a small thing. On a long leg, or on a trip with a young family or a dietary requirement, it is one of the things people remember.

What can be arranged

Catering is ordered through the private terminal or a specialist caterer at the departure airport, so what is possible depends partly on where you are leaving from and how much notice we have. Most requests are straightforward: a proper meal rather than a tray, food for children that children will actually eat, or something specific for a celebration.

Kosher, halal, vegan, gluten-free and allergy-specific requirements are all routinely arranged. Tell us the requirement rather than the preference, and be specific about allergies, because that changes how the food is prepared and handled rather than just what is on the plate.

Notice matters more than budget

The single thing that most affects what we can arrange is how far ahead you ask. A day’s notice opens up options that a few hours does not, particularly at smaller airports where fewer caterers operate. On a same-day trip we will tell you honestly what is realistic.

What the aircraft can do with it

Not every cabin has a galley, and the smaller the aircraft the less there is to work with. Some have an oven or a microwave, some have hot drink facilities, and some have space for a cold service only. Whether a flight attendant is on board also matters, since on many aircraft there is nobody to serve a plated meal. Your advisor will tell you what the aircraft you are considering can actually do before you order.

Additional charges apply and are set out in the Charter Broker Agreement Standard Terms and Conditions.

Vetting Behind Every Trip

Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:

  • FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
  • Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
  • Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
  • Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.

Boca Raton-Specific Patterns We Plan Around

Hurricane season runs June through November and peaks in September, and summer afternoons bring thunderstorms that build quickly and close airspace while they pass. Your advisor watches the forecast ahead of your date and will call you before you call us. Boca Raton Airport also asks operators to observe a voluntary curfew between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM, which does not block a departure but is worth raising early if your trip lands in that window.
