Film Festivals

Boca Jet Charter arranges private flights to film festivals from Boca Raton and across South Florida, for talent, crew, producers and the people running a release schedule.

Festivals compress a lot into a few days, and the schedule is built around screenings and press that were locked months ago. What moves is everything else, which is why so much of this flying gets booked and rebooked inside the same week.

Festival travel in practice

Miami has its own festival season, and it sits inside a wider circuit that runs through Park City, Toronto, Cannes and Venice. Talent working more than one of those is usually on somebody else’s schedule the whole time, so the value of a charter is the hour it gives back rather than the flight itself.

Where an aircraft is available, a trip can often be confirmed within a few hours, which matters when a screening moves or a press day gets added.

Crews, equipment and the rest of the party

Cast and crew rarely travel as one group, and the equipment often does not travel with either. Tell us who is on which leg and what is coming with them, and where a party grows past what one cabin takes we will price it both ways so you can see the difference.

Where equipment moves separately, air cargo charter puts a full aircraft at your disposal for the shipment alone.

International legs

For the European festivals, permits are generally applied for after a trip has been secured on the aircraft schedule, and operators must meet the equivalent safety standards of the country of operation. On the way home, Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International clears customs around the clock, which is often the deciding factor on a late arrival.

Passenger names and itineraries stay confidential.

Vetting Behind Every Trip

Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:

  • FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
  • Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
  • Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
  • Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.

Boca Raton-Specific Patterns We Plan Around

Hurricane season runs June through November and peaks in September, and summer afternoons bring thunderstorms that build quickly and close airspace while they pass. Your advisor watches the forecast ahead of your date and will call you before you call us. Boca Raton Airport also asks operators to observe a voluntary curfew between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM, which does not block a departure but is worth raising early if your trip lands in that window.
