Here in Boca Raton this year, there are plenty of events going on for everyone. Wine and Food Festivals, charity events for the community, music festivals, and parades. March 2015

Festival of the Arts Boca

(March 6th ? 15th, 2015)

This year, Boca Raton will be featuring the 8th annual Festival of the Arts Boca. This festival presents arts from all walks of life, from classical music to dance, from film to literary authors. This multicultural arts event brings new experiences and new ideas to not only the attendees, but also the artists performing. Come join the celebration of diversity and the inspiration of up and coming artists at the Schmidt Family Centre for the Arts at Mizner Park.

Granting Wishes Cocktail Reception

At Boca Rio Golf Club, a cocktail reception will be hosted by the Jewish Women’s Foundation of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County. The entire community of men and women are invited to attend the reception, with guest speaker Sharon Tal, Head Designer of Maskit; a collection of her current fashions will be on display at the reception. The reception is aimed at raising funds for non-profit programs with the mission of changing the lives of Jewish women and children around the world.

Boca Bacchanal

For a weekend full of great food, you want to go to the Boca Bacchanal. Hosted at the Boca Raton Resort and Club, by attending the event, your tongue will be spoiled with delectable food and fabulous wines, prepared by chefs celebrated around Boca. It’s a different Chef and a different meal each day of the event, so go to one or try them all. Indulge in the flavors of Boca Raton’s finest.

Pride Fest of Lake Worth and the Palm Beaches

For one of the largest LGBT festivals in South Florida, PrideFest is definitely climbing the ranks in Palm Beach County. This is a two-day event that proudly brings together the gay and lesbian community, their allies, families, and friends. During the event, there will be live musical entertainment, great food sponsored by local restaurants, and a selection of vendors selling fine merchandise.

April 2015

International Gay Polo Tournament

(April 9th ? 12th, 2015)

Four days of exciting fun and action take place at the International Polo Club in Palm Beach this April. Celebrating six years, the International Gay Polo Tournament continues to seek new ways to make the tournament enjoyable for participants and attendees. You can start a tailgate party with your friends, or if you know the right people, you can get a VIP tent with table-side service and an open bar. The GPL invites all participants to register, ranging across many backgrounds and skill levels.

Delray Affair

(April 10th ? 12th, 2015)

The Delray Affair is one of the oldest outdoor festivals in South Florida, and it offers the finest of entertainment to its attendees. Stroll down Atlantic Avenue at this time of year, and you’ll find ten city blocks filled with live entertainment, artists, and exhibitors with something everyone can enjoy. Admission is free, and all it takes is a shuttle bus to Veteran’s Park to enjoy music, arts and crafts, and the famous munchies Delray is known for.

Craft Beer Festival and Burger Bash

Can you imagine an entire festival dedicated to burgers and first-rate craft beers? Well imagine no more, because it is absolutely, positively real. Last year, Craft Beer Festival and Burger Bash featured over 60 beers and ciders, along with a variety of booths set up by local restaurants offering sliders for samples, in an attempt to win the title ?King of All Burgers.? There’s also veggie burgers for those of you not eating meat. Throw in the two bands providing live entertainment, and you should be planning to stop by the PGA National Resort and Spa this April.

American Cancer Society for Life of West Boca Raton

(May 2nd, 2015)

Come out and help support cancer survivors, whether running the relay race or cheering on the participants. The Boca community gets together to fight against cancer in a way that celebrates the survivors and has a fun time doing it. The symbolic tribute of this relay race is done to honor those who have battled cancer and/or survived; in the past, an event of less than 40 people raised nearly $5,000. The more people who join, the better the turn out will be for everyone involved.

Clinics Can Help 2nd Annual Golf Classic

(May 22nd, 2015)

This fundraiser helps non-profit organizations that recycle medical equipment by hosting a small golf tournament followed by a cocktail reception and an awards ceremony. It’s $150 per person to enter, or $500 for a group of four. The entry fee covers everything from golf balls to golf carts, and lunch during the tournament.

July 4th Celebration

Come on over to Deerfield Beach this year to celebrate the independence of America. Fun for the whole family, there’s a kid’s zone to play in, plenty of arts and crafts, food vendors for munching, and live entertainment. At 9pm the fireworks display will start to end the celebration of this special date.

Boca Burger Battle

Do you think you’ve had the best burger ever? You might want to think again, and attend Burger Battle 2015 in downtown Boca Raton this year. Multiple cities and their chefs will be facing off this year, and Boca Raton is sending the heat with Morton’s Steak House, Shake Shack, 4th Generation Market, and Boca Burger House, to name a few. There will be all kinds of food here, including burgers, along with live entertainment and a little bit of shopping on the side. It’s time to find the best burger in Boca Raton.

Deerfield Beach County Music Festival

For a night of free live entertainment and country music, hustle on over to Deerfield Beach in August. The annual Country Music Festival is returning for it’s 4th year running. There will be plenty of food vendors to keep your belly full while you listen to old favorites, and maybe even hear some new ones. Starts at noon and runs until 9pm, a full day of country music.

Palm Beach Eats

Throughout the Palm Beaches, from Jupiter to Boca Raton, restaurants are showing off their chefs and offering culinary delights at prices you wouldn’t believe. Enjoy a three course dinner for as low as $30, or lunch for less. Steakhouses and bistros, surf and turf, a burger and fries, it’s all making a comeback in your wallet this year in Palm Beach County.

Dunn's Run ? Walk and Run for the Kids

The city of Deerfield is hosting it’s 19th Annual Dunn’s Run that benefits the boys and girls clubs around Broward County. Put on your running shoes and run, or walk, a 5K track around Deerfield, closing off Federal Highway, Hillsboro Blvd, and A1A. Registration for the race begins August 12th. If you’re spectating, there will be food vendors, and activities for the kids.

Oktober Fest

(October 9th ? 11th, and 16th ? 18th, 2015)

Come and discover the best of Germany this year in Lake Worth, a little north of the city of Boca. The best of traditional German food and music will be presented for all to enjoy at the American German Club of the Palm Beaches. Come down on the 2nd weekend of October, or the third if you can’t make it, or both, and celebrate Oktoberfest.

Delray Beach Wine and Seafood Festival

Looking to try something new? Delray is throwing a Wine and Seafood festival this year on Atlantic Avenue. Local seafood restaurants provide the best culinary dishes they can whip up, and pair it with a nice glass of wine. Admission to this event is completely free, and there are plenty of stores, boutiques, and galleries to keep you entertained throughout the festival.

6th Annual Boca Raton Wine and Food Festival

(November 13th ? 15th, 2015)

This year at the Florida Atlantic University Campus in Boca Raton, the 6th Annual culinary fair will be setting up and serving up four-course meals with a little wine on the side. There will be an exclusive VIP under the stars, a Vineyard Party, and a Wine to Glass Affair, all starting at 7pm, and that’s all just on Friday Night. There will be a Grand Tasting and Culinary Affair on Saturday night, and a Craft Crew Battle Sunday afternoon.

Holiday Boat Parade

The 21st Annual Palm Beach Holiday Boat Parade is sailing through North Palm Beach this year along the Intercoastal Waterway. Check out all the boats decked out in holiday d?cor and Christmas lights, and watch for the fireworks display. This event is orchestrated to benefit the Marine Corps Toys for Tots organization, and every year, thousands of toys are donated to underprivileged children around the holiday season.

Holiday at the Pier

Looking for a great way to spend the holiday season with the family? This December, Deerfield Beach is setting up the Christmas lights and setting up the tree at the International Fishing Pier. There will be music performances, activities for the kids, and a photo booth with Santa Claus! Plus, enjoy a bit of a snowstorm right on the beach.
